Tiny ERP evolves to OpenERP
The Tiny company purchased the trademark and the domain for OpenERP and OpenObject. This change in the name of the product has been made to reflect the fast growth of the product and our desire to make the product more open to all users. In the past few months, Open ERP became:
The most installed ERP in the world (700 installations per day)
Extremely complete with more than 300 modules,
Mature with lots of impressive customer references.
Having been strengthened by this evolution Tiny ERP is evolving towards a name which reflects the position of the software in the market as “The Open Source Software related to Enterprise Management”. The OpenERP team has launched the following projects to push this evolution:
The “On demand” offer allows the small enterprises to start with a complete and tailored solution with a low cost fixed price for the hosting, solution, maintenance and support. Packaged versions by solutions and by industries are available on our new “On Demand” website.
OpenObject is the framework developed for OpenERP. OpenObject is a platform for rapid application development of rich and web applications. Here, you will find several components for the development of your applications: integrated UML editor, Business Intelligence, report designer, workflow editor, … The final version of this site will be available in a few weeks.
OpenERP is launched with a new website where you can find all the new modules.
Two books on OpenERP are being written, one in English and one in French. The French version is already available on Amazon.
The Tiny editor continues to guarantee the growth of the OpenERP product on different axes: contributors, partners and customers. The maintenance, support, trainings and partner contracts are still provided on Tiny ERP and on OpenERP versions.
With an annual growth of more than 100% since 3 years, The Editor is at the image of the success of OpenERP. This growth has been already guaranteed for 2008. Indeed, on this 1st of April, we have already sold more than our total turnover of 2007. This will allow us to reinforce our open source policies as well as our teams involved in the OpenERP project.
